Everything it weighs, for every product

Read from the systems you already use, recalculated every day.

Sales speed
Per product and per channel, with out-of-stock days left out so they don’t drag the average down.
Stock on hand
Across your warehouses, 3PLs and Amazon, minus what is already promised to open orders.
Stock already on order
Open purchase orders and inbound shipments, so stock already coming isn’t ordered again.
Real lead times
How long your last orders actually took, door to shelf, not the supplier’s quote.
Seasonality
Peaks and quiet months, so an order covers the season it will sell in.
Bundles and kits
Components sold inside bundles count toward their own demand.
Supplier minimums
Minimum order quantities and preferred suppliers for each product.
Cost of each order
Unit cost in the supplier’s currency, so you see what a buy list costs before you approve it.

Beat your spreadsheet. Here’s how.

It works while you sleep: new orders flow in on their own and the numbers are refreshed every night, so the buy list is ready before you are. A spreadsheet only knows what it knew at the last export.

The momentWhat Kerno doesWhat a spreadsheet does
The 2am order is already counted.Shopify orders come in as they’re placed.Missing until someone exports the sales again.
A sale spike isn’t a trend.Deeply discounted orders stay out of everyday demand, so a promotion doesn’t trigger an oversized order. The spike goes straight into the average.
Sold out isn’t unwanted.Days with no stock don’t count as days with no demand.Averages in the zeros, then orders too little.
Your supplier said 25 days. It took 41.Lead times come from your real deliveries, including how much they vary. The lead time on the quote.
Peak season is on the calendar. Each product’s own seasonal pattern from its history, plus the peak periods you mark, like Black Friday.Last month’s average.
Bundles sell components too.Units sold inside a bundle count toward each product in it.The bundle’s row moves; its components’ rows don’t.

Nothing is ordered without you.

One click turns the buy list into draft purchase orders, one per supplier. You review and send each one; nothing is ordered without you. How purchase orders work.

Missing numbers are flagged, never guessed.

If a cost, exchange rate or stock count is missing, the line says so. A gap is never filled with zero or a silent guess.

Same bottle, same sales. Two reorder dates.

Example data: one SKU selling on Shopify and Amazon

500 units1,000 units1,500 units2 Nov2 Dec1 Jan31 Jan2 MarOut of stockOrder by 5 Dec
  • Spreadsheet math orders on 28 Dec, too late. Out of stock from 20 Jan for 15 days: about 210 units it couldn't sell.
  • Kerno Forecast orders 840 units by 5 Dec. They land on 12 Jan with 106 still on the shelf.

The spreadsheet averages the last 90 days, including 27 days the bottle was out of stock and sold nothing, and it trusts the supplier's quoted 25-day lead time. Kerno Forecast leaves out the stocked-out days, uses the lead time your past orders actually took, and keeps 7 days of safety stock.

Order before you run out.
